Bee and Pollinator Friendly Gardening

Christine Lampe, Master Gardener

11:00 AM to 11:30 AM — Room 105

Learn simple, fun, and beautiful gardening techniques to encourage helpful honeybees and native bees (and other pollinators too) to visit, and even take up residence, in your garden.

Christine is a Master Gardener in Riverside County, specializing in organic fruit and vegetable gardening, herbs, and edible landscaping. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences, as well as a secondary teaching credential, and has taught high school Biology.

Christine’s gardening philosophy is, “If I’m going to put time, energy, and water into growing it, I might as well grow something to eat or be useful, in addition to being nice to look at.” With her husband’s help, their yard is slowly transforming into an edible landscape. Their goal is to organically grow almost all of their own produce.

Christine is also active with the Ca Rare Fruit Growers, San Bernardino Co. Master Food Preservers, and the Inland Empire chapter of Label GMOs.*
