Dr. Ronald Loveridge is an Associate Professor of Political Science and the Director of the Center for Sustainable Suburban Development at UCR. He has 33 years of public service – as a Riverside City Council member from 1979 to 1994, and as Mayor from 1994 to 2012. A highly regarded regional, state and national leader, he was involved on the executive committee and board of the National League of Cities, where he also served as the organization’s President in 2010. He is a member of the National Academy of Public Policy, and his statewide and regional service includes board roles on the California Air Resources Board, California Forward Action Fund, California Competes, South Coast Air Quality Management District, Southern California Association of Governments, Western Riverside Council of Governments, and Inland Empire Economic Partnership. 951-827-7830, http://cssd.ucr.edu
